Who needs art school?

I attended my first sip and paint party last year and I have to say that I enjoyed it so much. I've been hearing about these parties more and more lately but never really had the desire to attend because i can't paint. I figured I'd give it a try and just assumed that I would be doing more sipping than painting. But to my surprise I was able to create something out of nothing and it actually looked great.

I'm sure you have all seen your friends post there pictures on social media after they have attended a sip and paint event and jealousy pored through you wondering where did they get that talent from. Believe it or not you don't have to have one ounce of talent in you in order to enjoy and even thrive at a sip and paint function, you just need to know how to follow directions. The sipping part might even help you a little more with your creativity.

Baby Steps

The instructor practically holds your hand and takes you step by step through each brush stroke. She stands in front of you with her canvas and demonstrates which paints to use or mix, which brushes to use and how to maneuver your brush to create the effects she is looking for. Once you have carefully followed the directions, while sipping on a nice bottle of wine, you will have created a master piece that will surely be the envy of others.
